Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known as Winona Ryder is a native of Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from her Jewish origin. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder was born in the United States and moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a voracious bookworm and spent most of her time reading a book because she was not able to watch TV. In 1983 when she was 12 years old, Ryder enrolled in the American Conservatory Theatre to take classes in acting. Ryder landed her first film role on the big screen in the year 1986 at the age of 15 older. Ryder suffered from bullying at her high school. Her acting career, she hoped she would be able to assist her. It didn't work out. However, she remained committed to her dreams. She made her debut in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder played successful roles in numerous films. In 1993 she received two nominations for Academy Awards. One of them for her role In The Age of Innocence.
