Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman of business. She is the owner and president of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native was raised with an extremely wealthy background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. Following the divorce of her parents in 1972, she began to feel in a sense of being abandoned emotionally. As she turned 19 old, she began working for the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. In the future she founded the Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum.
