Jeanie Marie Buss was born in America. She is the owner and director of Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss is a native of California, grew up with an affluent family background. Jerry Buss is her father. He was a real estate tycoon before becoming the proprietor of Lakers and other enterprises. The couple divorced in 1972, which caused her to feel like she was neglected. Her family's business was started at the age of 19 as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings tennis team. Later, she established the Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. She first served as vice president of Lakers before she assumed the role of President of the Great Western Forum. Buss her father passed away in 2013 and the Lakers were inherited from him by Buss and her five siblings through a trust. Each sibling had the same number of votes. She took on the role of president for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss runs Women of Wrestling in Los Angeles, an organization that promotes pro wrestling.
